MICHAEL JACKSON- FAREWELL MY SUMMER LOVE

Record companies have an interesting protocol on how they do business. Granted their MO is not about the art. It’s about how much you can sell. At least that's how I look at it as far as the majors go.  They also master the art of banking off of your art. Even if the pieces are meant to be in the can or if by them owning your piece. Despite not having their name on it. This album came out during Thrillermania.  When Michael was the hottest ticket in the world.  I guess this was Motown’s way of cashing in at Michael’s expense.  I don't understand it if that's the case because Motown already banked good off Michael when he was there.  If anything, this album reminds of Geraldo when he was on his quest to go inside Al Capone's vault.  Expecting to look for the next great treasure but turns out it's empty.  Me being a huge Michael Jackson fan, I had to buy it no matter what.  It's always hip to hear unreleased stuff coming out of the can from Mike but some things were meant to be left alone.  I'm talking to you Hollywood and all of your damn reboots.   It’s not really new that record labels do this to artists when they leave them for greener pastures but it makes me think about what Q-Tip said, Industry Rule #4080. Record company people are shady...
